Hospice families remember the voice that answered the phone. That first calm, kind hello often sets the tone for everything that follows. If you are organized, warm, and quick on your feet, this is a role where your work has weight beyond the desk.

What You'll Do

• Answer and route calls, and be the welcoming first point of contact for families, staff, and referral partners
• Open and maintain client charts, complete admission paperwork, and support intake from start to finish
• Manage faxes, filing, and medical records with strict HIPAA confidentiality
• Complete chart audits (7-day, recert, and death charts) and monthly compliance reporting
• Track client visits and communications, and keep the client database current
• Order supplies, support payroll and timesheet processing, and provide secretarial support across departments
• Take minutes at staff and director meetings

What We're Looking For

• Hospice or healthcare office experience strongly preferred. If you have worked in hospice, home health, a clinic, or a senior living community, you will feel at home here and we want to hear from you.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and medical records confidentiality
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing basics is a plus
• Typing speed of 60 wpm or better and solid computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
