Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college course work or equivalent training preferred
- Minimum five years’ experience as secretary/administration assistant in executive level office, preferably in a school district
- Flexibility and willingness to adjust work schedule when needed
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle highly sensitive documents and information discreetly and confidentially
- Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions
- Ability to accomplish job duties with minimum supervision
- Proven ability assert initiative
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat. PowerSchool, Parent Square, Business Plus, Board Book experience preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Description:
- Provides administrative and operational support to the Superintendent and Board of Education, including scheduling, communications, special projects, and committee coordination
- Prepares and maintains confidential information pertaining to employees, students, district plans, etc.
- Prepares information for the Board of Education
- Processes FOIA requests
- Manages correspondences, verbal, phone, written, on behalf of Superintendent and Board of Education
- Maintains budget for Superintendent and Board of Education
- Processes forms and requests pertinent to the Superintendent and/or Board
- Arranges conferences and other official business for Superintendent and Board of Education
- Responsible for ensuring that current Board policy revisions are up to date
- Responsible for spring and fall Board of Education’s Academic Award programs
- Maintains familiarity with the organizational structure, functions, policies and regulations of the school district and educational laws
- Exercises discretion and judgement in giving out information regarding school policies and practices
- Responsible for coordinating materials for board packets
- Acts as the Recording Secretary to the Board of Education, including responsibility for public notices, agendas, and minutes of all meetings and maintenance of all official minute books
- Uses tact and courtesy in dealing with students, parents, all classifications of staff, board members, news media, governmental officials, attorneys, and business and education organizations
- Other duties as assigned
