About the Role:
Dallas Christian College (DCC) is seeking a Christ-centered and highly motivated individual to serve in its Academic Success program.
The Facilities Administrative Assistant serves the mission of the Dallas Christian College by assisting the Facilities Director with the daily operations of the college facilities, including all campus buildings and grounds, to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor, prioritize, and respond to DCC work order requests. Provide daily work order status updates to the Facilities Director.
- Assist with the scheduling of preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment.
- Perform routine administrative tasks including expense report submission and budget monitoring.
- Maintain the ongoing scheduling and monitoring of the DCC fleet of vehicles. This includes vehicle reservations and maintaining a checklist when vehicles are returned.
- Inventory and order supplies and equipment.
- Present a positive attitude to those who encounter you at the College.
- Support the mission, vision, and community life of the college.
General Responsibilities
- Prepare work reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory reports and maintain related records, to include inventory control, building and site plan files, and building system service records.
- Document status of facility repair and construction projects and report status to their supervisor.
- Prepare requisitions for purchasing materials to maintain inventories of operating supplies.
· Keep comprehensive records for warranty tracking, effective periodic maintenance, and accumulation of cost data.
· Occasionally clean and maintain College vehicles.
· Occasionally assist with maintenance projects.
· Assist with set up and tear down for college events.
· Provide historical data and projected costs, to stay within current budgets, and create input for future budgets.
· Occasionally work evenings and/or weekends resulting in more than 20 hours per week.
· Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by the President’s Cabinet members.
Perform other duties related to the position, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Evidence of Christian faith and commitment consistent with the mission of the College as well as active involvement in a local church.
- Working toward a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of administrative office experience.
- Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate experience maintaining databases.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a pertinent field (e.g., communications or business).
- 3 to 5 years of administrative office experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) language and writing skills.

Work Schedule and Conditions
- Exposure to standard office working environment; occasional exposure to varying temperatures while working outside.
- Monday through Friday; 4 hours per day; times to be determined.
