Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. Its 1,365-acre (5.52 km2) campus is Georgia's second-largest public university in area.

JOB SUMMARY
The Office of Advancement at Fort Valley State University is a collaborative and inclusive environment focused on securing private financial support to advance the University's mission by engaging alumni, friends, and donors through meaningful giving and engagement opportunities. The division coordinates fundraising efforts across campus, including Band and Athletics, to achieve annual fundraising goals through strong stakeholder partnerships.
The Executive Assistant, reporting to the VP for Advancement/Executive Director of the Foundation, provides high-level administrative, operational, and board support, including managing communications, calendars, files, meetings, confidential donor requests, and strategic projects. This role requires extensive interaction with alumni, donors, and volunteers, and calls for a highly organized, trustworthy, and self-motivated professional committed to excellence and smooth executive-level operations. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.
