Temporary Administrative Assistant (3‑Month Assignment)
Location: Hillcrest Country Estates CottagesSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pmAssignment Length: Approximately 3 monthsEmployment Type: Temporary, Full‑Time
Pay: $16.00 per hour, based upon experience and education
Position Summary
Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support operations at Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages during a planned leave. This role provides administrative and clerical support to leadership and serves as an important point of contact for residents, families, and team members. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Cottage leadership
Prepare and distribute agendas, assist with meetings, and record minutes as needed
Manage receptionist/front desk coverage as needed
Assist with private pay collections, census reporting, and tracking resident Medicaid reviews
Support residents and responsible parties with general financial and administrative questions
Process daily bank deposits, petty cash, ancillary charges, and general business office functions
Assist with accounts payable processing using electronic A/P systems
Support onboarding activities such as preparing orientation packets, ordering name tags/uniforms, and tracking required documentation
Perform general office management duties including mail processing, ordering office supplies, calendar coordination, and copier oversight
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Post‑secondary clerical training or business‑related education preferred
Minimum of 3 years of administrative or business office experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in stressful situations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform repetitive movements
Comfortable working with technology and office systems
Ability to speak, read, and write English
