General Description:
Under the general supervision of the Principal/Head of School (or designee) with support from the BPS Office of Specialized Services (OSS), serves as secretary for the school’s special education office (.6 FTE) and main office (.4 FTE); performs complex clerical and office work requiring exercise of independent judgment. Responsible for supporting BPS Central O?ces and BGA Special Education staff in their adherence to the regulatory requirements associated with Special Education laws and regulations. Uses appropriate current technology to carry out duties.

Guild, Grade 23 (Refer to the Salary Compensation section on the Career Site for more information on compensation.) The workday of all employees working in traditional schools shall begin fifteen (15) minutes prior to the beginning of the pupils’ school day and shall end no later than one (1) hour after the close of the school day (up to seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes inclusive of their break and lunch) unless the employees are excused earlier by their immediate supervisor. Employees working in schools shall work one (1) week after the close of school, but no later than July 3rd.
