We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented professional to support the Gary Chapman Chair of Moody Theological Seminary. This role is ideal for someone who excels at managing details, coordinating priorities, and serving others within a Christ-centered academic environment.

The Opportunity
The Administrative Assistant provides primary administrative support to the Gary Chapman Chair, including scheduling, communications, travel coordination, and support for strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills, professionalism, sound judgment, and a heart for service while partnering effectively with faculty, staff, and ministry partners.
What You’ll Do
Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate communication between the Chair and various Moody departments, including Education, Radio, and Publishing.
- Professionally manage correspondence and communication related to speaking engagements, agendas, reports, and other ministry activities.
- Collaborate with Seminary administrative staff to ensure effective communication and coordination across departments.
- Facilitate communication between the Chicago and Michigan campuses of Moody Theological Seminary.
- Support communication and coordination with Facilities and other operational departments as needed.
Administrative Support
- Manage and maintain the Chair's calendar and scheduling needs.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, lodging, and accommodations.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, meeting materials, and related administrative resources.
- Maintain records and administrative processes while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
Strategic Project Support
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Monitor project timelines, communications, and follow-up activities to support the Chair's priorities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Seminary and the Gary Chapman Chair.

- Associate's degree or combination of education and work experience in a supporting role.

Work Environment
- This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, and related technology.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly communicate with others and may frequently be required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to operate office equipment.
- This is a part-time position, regularly scheduled to work 12-16 hours per week.
- Minimal travel may be required.
