Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant position will provide essential administrative and program support to the Community Safety Department's Empowerment House. The Empowerment House is a community-centered hub dedicated to fostering safety, support, and opportunity for residents. Responsibilities will include scheduling, participant and program documentation, data entry, communications, referral tracking, meeting coordination, and support for grant reporting. The position will help maintain organized program operations, strengthen communication with partners and participants, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and consistently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide administrative and program support for Empowerment House operations and activities.
•Manage scheduling, appointments, meetings, calendars, and program events.
•Maintain accurate participant records, program documentation, data entry, and databases.
•Track referrals, follow-ups, participant engagement, and service connections.
•Support communication with participants, community partners, service providers, and staff.
•Provide information about available programs, services, resources, and referrals to clients.
•Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to clients experiencing emotional distress, conflict, or other immediate challenges, following Empowerment House policies and established protocols.
•Collaborate with Violence Prevention Supervisor, Life Coaches, and Youth Engagement Workers to ensure clients receive appropriate support and referrals.
•Maintain organized files and ensure information is accurate, confidential, and accessible.
•Assist with community events, workshops, trainings, and participant activities.
•Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and trauma-informed practices when working with participants.
•Collaborate with the Violence Prevention Supervisor on GSO Peace on Purpose initiatives focused on violence prevention, crisis intervention, community engagement, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and community safety.
•Perform other administrative duties as needed to support Community Safety Department and Empowerment House goals.
