LOCATION: Curriculum Center - Special Education Records Department
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Accurate keyboarding � prefer 50 wpm.
- Good spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Good organizational, problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of technology including Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of general office procedures including operation of copy machine, printer, fax and mail machine.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Familiarity with special education forms and processes preferred.
- Familiarity with MiStar and MiStarQ � electronic IEP system preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes, reviews and logs all special education forms and reports.
- Returns special education paperwork to staff as needed for modifications.
- Transfers data from special education documents to MiStarQ fields.
- Maintains and completes all data entry requirements per State Department/WRESA.
- Provides guidance and support for District staff in data entry in MiStarQ as it relates to Special Education pupil accounting.
- Maintains staff caseload information and shares with staff regularly.
- Maintains special education department data � retrieves reports as necessary.
- Maintains ongoing log of processed documents/forms.
- Assists with transportation data/information. Works with transportation department to maintain information flow.
- Tracks special education document deadlines; communicates this information to administrators/staff.
- Monitor and track count day data to ensure all students are entered as necessary for reporting and funding purposes
- Responds to all data requests from administrators and staff as appropriate.
- Works with Wayne RESA to maintain latest information regarding data entry and requirements.
- Answers phone calls from staff, parents and supervisors. Process calls and responds as necessary.
- Supports/completes work tasks from special education administrators and staff as needed.
- Assists with filing of special education documents as necessary.
- Bending, lifting, overhead work required.
- Performs other tasks as required as assigned.
