Function
The Senior Administrative Assistant for Director for Blended Learning Programs and Support uses good judgment in performing various secretarial duties necessary in an appropriate and timely manner to achieve departmental and organizational goals. The Senior Administrative Assistant must be self-motivated and self-directed, exhibiting professionalism and confidentiality of the highest level at all times. Duties may include answering telephones, assisting Director in the preparation of documents, research, compiling reports, preparing and sending communications, correspondence, maintaining budget; and other tasks necessary for the office to operate smoothly and efficiently. The Senior Administrative Assistant for the Director of Blended Learning Programs and Support works carefully and tactfully with various internal and external customers, including district administrators, employees, visitors, and others.

Responsibilities:
- Uses computer applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and all Google Drive applications to type
- memorandum, compile and create reports, and maintain calendars
- Communicates with staff regarding board items and deadlines and composes a variety of documents including memos, letters, reports and transmittals, as needed, and ensures grammatical and typographical accuracy
- Makes appointments, schedules meetings and assists in making arrangements for meeting places and in contacting
- participants for various meetings and activities and maintains the Director's daily calendar of activities
- Makes travel arrangements, including hotel, airline reservations and vehicle rentals for out-of-district meetings/conferences including preparation of all required travel forms
- Processes Director's and C&I Specialists' in-district travel and reimbursement requests
- Maintains office supply inventories, orders supplies and materials, and processes requisitions and contracts as needed
- Maintains record of budget expenditures and organizes and files requisitions on all expenditures
- Answers telephone, takes messages, and provides information as instructed by the Director and Specialists and according to approved procedures
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date, and organized filing system
- Handles multiple tasks effectively, exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Collaborates and works cooperatively with other offices within the District while maintaining the protocols and
- procedures established by the Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
- Proofreads and edits completed reports to ascertain accuracy of data
- Utilizes district financial and management systems, including BusinessPlus, eSchoolPlus, Frontline, and HR Payroll
- Undertakes/completes assignments in an appropriate and timely manner to achieve organizational goals
