Our client, a Truck and Engine Manufacturing company, is looking for a Administrative Assistant-Operations & Strategy Support for their San Antonio, TX location.
Responsibilities:
- The Administrative Assistant – Operations & Strategy Support provides high level administrative, analytical, and presentation support to the Plant Manager and Operations leadership team.
- This role is responsible for creating executive ready PowerPoint presentations, analyzing operational data, coordinating cross functional initiatives, and supporting strategic planning activities across a 1,200 employee manufacturing plant.
- Create executive level PowerPoint presentations for the Plant Manager and Operations leadership, including data visualization, charts, dashboards, and narrative summaries.
- Analyze operational data (production metrics, attendance trends, quality KPIs, labor utilization, etc.) and translate insights into clear, actionable visuals.
- Partner with Operations leaders to support strategic initiatives, project planning, and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate cross functional meetings, prepare agendas, capture action items, and track follow ups.
- Support plant wide communication, including memos, announcements, and leadership updates.
- Maintain confidential documents, reports, and performance data with accuracy and discretion.
- Assist with workflow organization, scheduling, travel coordination, and administrative tasks for the Plant Manager.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reporting packages for leadership review.
- Serve as a liaison between administrative functions and production floor leadership teams.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced production environment while partnering closely with leaders across Operations, HR, CI, and Safety.
- 3+ years of administrative support experience, preferably within manufacturing or operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including slide design, formatting, and data visualization.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, charts, basic formulas, and comfort working with operational data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting senior leaders such as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, HR Manager, or similar.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, KPIs, and production terminology.
- Ability to translate complex data into simple, clear visuals and narratives.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to anticipate leadership needs.
- Comfortable working on the production floor when gathering information or supporting operations.
