POSITION SUMMARY
The Wellness Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Wellness Department, assists with administrative and marketing tasks, and helps organize wellness programs and events. This role provides students with hands-on experience in administrative work, marketing, and event planning while contributing to a welcoming and efficient wellness environment on campus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative & Office Support
- Perform opening and closing tasks to ensure smooth operation of the office or wellness space.
- Assist with filing, data entry, answering phones, and responding to emails. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage office supplies
- and resources.
- Assist with event setup, registration, and attendee engagement.
Marketing & Communications Support
- Support marketing efforts, including creating content and managing social media accounts to promote wellness classes, programs, and events.
- Design and distribute flyers, posters, and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement new wellness initiatives.
Event Planning & Program Support
- Help organize and plan wellness classes, workshops, and other departmental events.
- Assist with logistics and coordination of departmental initiatives and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled as a current student in good academic standing.
- Eligible for the Federal Work-Study program.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Creativity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Interest in wellness, event planning, or marketing is a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Flexible hours based on academic schedule.
- Availability required for occasional evening or weekend events.
COMPENSATION
Hourly rate in accordance with Federal Work-Study guidelines.
