Position Summary
As an Administrative Assistant I at Oncor, you'll provide administrative assistance and support to the Claims and Legal organization. This role will report directly to the Claims Manager.
Looking for individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable providing administrative support in a collaborative environment, including assisting a visually impaired team member with workflow coordination and document management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Claims and Legal teams, including handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Organize and maintain office workflows and records to support efficient claims operations.
- Prepare and send email inquiries to responsible parties, business entities, and insurance companies regarding damage claims, as requested.
- Respond promptly and professionally to email requests and meet daily, monthly, and annual deadlines.
- Learn and utilize the claims processing system to accurately enter claims information, notes, and updates.
- Assist with weekly reviews of new claim packets to verify that all required documentation is present for proper processing.
- Gather, analyze, and compile data to prepare itemized cost breakdowns for responsible parties, business entities, and insurance carriers.
- Retrieve and distribute check copies, claim details, and new claim assignments to the Collections Agency and Law Firm via email, as requested.
- Serve as the Claims SharePoint Administrator by maintaining and updating site content such as on‑call schedules, contact lists, training materials, and other claims‑related resources.
- Serving as backup for the other Corporate Administrative Assistants as needed with duties such as payment processing, incoming mail handling, and other duties assigned

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative or office support role.
