JOB TITLE: DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB SUMMARY: Provide district administrative support to the Superintendent and the Director of Special Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent; 2 Year Degree Preferred
- Computer, Database, and Social Media experience
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
- Ability to learn new software; work independently
- A willingness to take appropriate training to maintain and advance skills;
- A loyal and positive attitude; and adherence to maintaining strict confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties and responsibilities listed below:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT
- Assume administrative duties including but not limited to typing, filing, distribution of correspondence, reports, memorandums, announcements, newsletters, etc.
- Data entry and social media management
- Editing and posting district policy and procedures
- Frontline of district office; responsible for telephones, secured door, mail, deliveries, staff, students, families as needed
- Attend relevant training classes and workshops when needed to maintain knowledge of new systems
- Board matters as directed: Agenda prep and legal posting, attend board meetings, maintain minutes, etc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
- Assume Special Education administrative duties including but not limited to typing, filing, distribution of correspondence, reports, memorandums, announcements, newsletters, etc.
- Special Education student data entry.
- Process monthly P223H report for the district
- Coordination of Special Education department schedules and needs as requested
- Special Education data system compliance assistance

- Perform such school-related duties as assigned.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Know and follow school district policy and chain of command.
- Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
