Pay Rate/Range: $15/hr

Description: We are seeking a Teaching Assistant / Administrative Assistant to provide administrative, clerical, and classroom support within an adult education program. This role helps students successfully earn their high school diploma through on-site, classroom, and online learning opportunities. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to supporting student success.

Responsibilities:

• Assist instructors by monitoring and documenting student progress

• Provide tutoring and support with assignment completion

• Assist with classroom management and student engagement

• Monitor students during breaks and other designated times

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries

• Contact students regarding attendance, scheduling, and program participation

• Assist students with applications, employment resources, and scheduling needs

• Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support daily operations

• Work closely with staff and students to maintain a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; two years of post-secondary education preferred

• Experience working with non-traditional or at-risk learners preferred

• Familiarity with online learning environments and educational technology

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive) and general computer applications

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Positive attitude and commitment to student success

• ESOL experience preferred but not required

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Job Type:   Temp-to-hire

Shift/Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
