Administrative Assistant to Director of Technology, Safety & Security
Primary Purpose
Work under minimum supervision to ensure the efficient daily operation of the Technology and Safety
& Security Departments and provide administrative and clerical support to the Director of Technology,
Safety & Security.
Coordinate departmental purchasing, budgets, records, scheduling, vendor communication, technology
work orders, equipment and supply procurement, staff technology onboarding and offboarding, and
other administrative functions.
Provide administrative support for district safety and security programs, including the District Guardian
Program. Due to the nature of the position, the employee will have access to sensitive and confidential
information regarding district personnel, students, technology systems, cybersecurity, emergency
operations, and safety/security procedures. Strict confidentiality and professional discretion are
required at all times.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and time-management skills
Ability to make independent decisions regarding routine administrative activities and departmental
operations
Excellent public relations, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, contracts, quotes, and other
business documents
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, maintain records and databases, perform basic
data analysis, and complete word processing
Ability to manage multiple complex administrative activities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to maintain accurate financial, purchasing, inventory, and departmental records
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to communicate effectively with district employees, vendors, outside agencies, parents, and
the general public
Experience
Clerical or administrative experience preferred
Pay Range: $18.25-$22.04
