Program Administrative Assistant
The JOIN Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the JOIN Program, while also providing support to clients and coordinating program volunteers. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with clients, volunteers, and community partners.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the JOIN Program.
- Communicate with clients about eligibility, applications, and program services.
- Maintain accurate client records, data, and program documentation.
- Coordinate, schedule, and support JOIN volunteers.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Work with utility companies, community partners, and other agencies as needed.
- Provide clients with information, referrals, and additional resources.
Education and Experience:
- High School or equivalent
- Administrative/clerical experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience in social services, administrative work, or a client-service environment preferred.
- Experience working with volunteers is a plus.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Pass a BCI/FBI criminal background check and drug screening
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, databases, and email
- Able to handle confidential information professionally
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
Work Environment:
- Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
