The Administrative Assistant- Developmental Services supports the Developmental Services Division by keeping front-office operations, documentation, and financial processing accurate and responsive. This role helps ensure a professional experience for callers and visitors while maintaining reliable administrative workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable and receivable for assigned areas, ensuring complete and timely documentation
- Answer and direct incoming calls; greet and assist visitors with professionalism
- Perform data entry, maintain records, and prepare routine office correspondence
- Coordinate office coverage, support building organization/safety routines, and manage supply ordering and inventory
- Serve as Consumer Funds Specialist (Representative Payee) for individuals residing at Merryfield ICF/ID Residence
Required knowledge and skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Business environment experience with frequent customer interaction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and clear written/verbal communication
- Experience as a Consumer Funds Specialist/Representative Payee

Your day is based onsite at DS Admin (543 Church Street, Clifton Forge) on a steady Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. You'll start by reviewing priorities and organizing the day's paperwork and requests, then move between the front desk and administrative tasks as needs arise. Throughout the day, you'll keep information organized, communicate updates clearly, and maintain a calm, service-oriented presence when interacting with the public and internal teams. You'll also spend time monitoring routine office needs-such as keeping materials stocked and ensuring shared spaces remain orderly-so the team can stay focused on client support.
