Clerical/Technical Support Compensation Plan

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent - Teaching & Learning
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
• To provide secretarial, receptionist and clerical support to the Assistant Superintendent of Teacher and Learning as well as division leadership personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Ability to effectively use technology and standard computer applications to complete job responsibilities
• Knowledge of school district operations
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
EXPERIENCE:
• Prior secretarial experience at a school or administrative level
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Office Manager � Order supplies for the department and oversee equipment management
• Assist visitors, school administrators, and staff
• Work with department leadership to manage the Teaching and Learning budget and allocate funds accordingly
• Help lead and guide office staff in the Teaching and Learning department
• Answer telephones, take messages, route calls to appropriate personnel, and respond to inquiries while using professional discretion regarding confidential matters
• Demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Utilize a number of platforms and applications such as Skyward, Munis, Frontline, Google applications, etc. to maintain operations of the department
• Manage requisition and purchase orders
• Work well with others, exhibit exceptional diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality
• Manage the schedule of appointments for the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and assist in maintaining the division calendar
• Maintain a filing system for reports, correspondence, and other departmental documents
• Facilitate relationships and workflow between external partners, Teaching and Learning, and campuses
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Interacting with the public and other staff and occasionally meeting multiple demands from several people
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Physical demands/environmental factors:
• Continuous typing
• Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion
• Lifting/moving up to 10 lbs. such as supplies of copier paper
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
