Performs administrative support work in providing assistance to the Director of Inmate Classification/Movement, relieving them of administrative duties. Will work closely with the supervisor to set objectives, priorities and deadlines, but will also work independently to set goals and timeframes for own individual work assignments. This position may be required to attend meetings in the absence of supervisor or on supervisor's behalf. Will be responsible for scheduling appointments, meetings, travel arrangements and reservations for the department. The position covers the responsibilities for updating offender intake plans, managing data in relationship to approvals/denials of overrides, restrictions, and administrative reviews. Completes minutes for all meetings and distributes them to those in attendance. This position will also include ordering supplies for the department. In addition, this position will screen all incoming mail and telephone calls and transfer them accordingly. Must be able to handle confidential information and respond with professionalism. Other related duties as assigned.

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing clerical duties at the Office Assistant 3 level, encompassing a wide range of office practices, which must have in included typing, screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.
