Position number: K0062845Location of Employment: 29th Judicial District, Kansas City, KS Position Title and Salary: Administrative Assistant, grade 23, $ 21.19 hourly Kansas Judicial Branch Benefits State Employment Center - Benefits (ks.gov) Job Duties This is highly responsible, complex, confidential administrative position assisting the court administrator of the district court. Professionalism is required in all aspects of this position. Work requires competence, independent judgement, discretion, a high degree of initiative balanced with common sense and courteous interaction with court stakeholders. Applicants should be detail oriented, understand court proceedings and/or legal terminology, and be able to prioritize and communicate well. This position requires flexibility and a good attitude, as well as answering phone calls, directing the public, data entry, scanning documents and assisting with the district court budget. This position also requires the use of a personal computer, and daily use of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook software. A previous working knowledge of Workday is desirable.Required Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Computer experience is required.
- Previous secretarial experience preferred.
- Experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting preferred.
- Excellent organizational experience
