Primary Purpose:
Under close supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. Ensure efficient operation of school administrative office and provide clerical services for school's staff. Provide classroom and administrative support to programs housed at THRIVE Academy.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient keyboarding skills and file maintenance skills
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks often changing assignment on short notice
- Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Experience:
- One year clerical experience in office setting

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records, Reports, and Correspondence
- Prepare written correspondence, forms, schedules, or reports using personal computer.
- Prepare, post, and maintain departmental lists, agendas, and communications as requested.
- Maintain school calendar of events.
- Record minutes of meetings as required.
- Communicate with campuses to coordinate student transitions
- Establish collaborative relationships with community partners and mentors
- Assist in facilitating student programming based on need
- Check in students to the Alternative Learning Center
- Compile district orofe4ssional development documentation
Instructional Support
- Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Student Management
- Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom.
- Make teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
Reception and Phones
- Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendar for supervisor.
- Assist district staff, students, and parents as needed.
- Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
Files
- Maintain physical and computerized files, including mailing lists, student records, visitor logs, and office communication.
- Update handbooks, policy manuals, and other documents as assigned. Accounting and Inventory
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, including simple arithmetic operations to maintain campus budget records.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and make cash deposits for activity account(s). May be responsible for maintenance of activity checkbook(s) and ledger(s). Assist with coordination of meetings and other departmental activities.
