MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree; or
- Three (3) years of administrative office experience; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b) above.

MAJOR DUTIES:
- Performs typing and computer tasks and does related work as required.
- Will perform duties upon the request of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
- Compiles data from a variety of sources (e.g. agenda items, payroll, budget, etc.) for the purpose of complying with educational, financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Composes documents (e.g. standardized correspondence, bulletins, etc.) for the purpose of documenting events, providing and/or requesting information.
- Maintains documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Orients new site personnel regarding appropriate school and district practices for the purpose of effectively assimilating new personnel into site operations.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the office.
- Provides information on administrative procedures, services, regulations, etc. for the purpose of training and orienting other personnel and/or dissemination information to appropriate parties.
- Processes documents and materials for the purpose of dissemination information to appropriate parties.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with software applications applicable to educational setting.
- Exercising good judgement in establishing or adapting work procedures to new situations and in performing varied clerical and administrative services.
- Doing work which includes a wide variety of complex clerical tasks requiring the application of independent judgement and knowledge of NY regulations, policies or procedures.
- Preparing material for meetings, interviews, etc.
- Primary responsibility for maintaining accurate records of expenditures for textbooks, instructional and other materials, as directed, and write reports as required.
- Order material and equipment for teachers, makes conference arrangements, may handle agendas and minutes for various committees and workshops as assigned.
- Prepare a variety of forms for teachers and other individuals as assigned.
- Assist and provide support for the receptionist area including answering phones and assisting in the main lobby to provide coverage as necessary.
- Gather data and complete forms on a yearly basis or as required for School Accountability Report Cards process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
