How you'll contribute
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing clerical support and carrying out activities as directed by the Program Director and/or Office Manager in a professional and ethical manner. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with Kindred CORE values. Location may include Short Term Acute Care or Outpatient therapy services.
This secretarial role would include acting as a chaperone for pelvic floor therapy program as well as obtaining insurance authorizations for this busy outpatient clinic as well as 2 other outpatient clinics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others
- Adhere to policies and practices of client hospital and Kindred Healthcare.
- Contribute to client relations and marketing activities.
- Manage patient referral process
- Provide general clerical support for the program
- Performs record keeping and data entry for the outcome system.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Participate in team meetings.
- Contribute to development of improved efficiency and productivity of program administrative functions.
- Functions as a resource for and provide team members with orientation regarding front office procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Education: The incumbent shall, at a minimum, possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Secretarial experience.
- Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary. Computer and current technology competence.
