The central office for the Hanover & Norwich school districts is seeking a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks for the central office. This position serves as receptionist and handles various administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly. We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude, who enjoys taking initiative and helping to move projects along. Candidates should be able to assist colleagues and visitors by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. The administrative assistant position helps support the superintendents, human resources office, and finance office. Experience in public education, HR, or finance are a plus, and to some extent, the work can be tailored to fit the strengths and interests of the person in the role.
Pay range is $22.62 - 26.07 per hour. Benefits include generous health and dental insurance plans with an annual employer HSA contribution, NH state retirement, and a comprehensive paid time off package including sick, personal leave, and vacation. Position begins August 1, 2026, open until filled.
