As an Administrative Assistant with the Springfield Police Department, you will play a key role in supporting departmental operations through administrative coordination, record management, communication support, and customer service. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a collaborative team environment dedicated to serving the community.
What This Position Will Do- Provide administrative and clerical support to Police Department staff and operations
- Serve as a front-line contact for employees, community members, and partner agencies by phone, email, and in-person
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental documentation
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, data entry, and office coordination
- Support day-to-day departmental operations in a professional and efficient manner

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Requires at least two years of experience in general office work;
OR
- 2 years of related college or vocational education from an accredited college/university.
PREFERRED
- Experience with an emphasis on contact with the public.
Licensing/Certification- Assignment to some departments requires incumbent to possess a valid driver's license and in some cases provide own vehicle for on-the-job transportation purposes.
