The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation, Gaming Enforcement Division mission is to strictly regulate and control authorized gaming entities in accordance with the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB). We are seeking an Administrative Assistant IV to serve as the assistant and aide to the Gaming Enforcement Division (GED) Commander/Captain.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As the Administrative Assistant IV, your job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform all administrative and clerical duties required by the Department of Public Safety, Office of State Police, and Gaming Enforcement Division. This position requires a good knowledge of office support functions, including, but not limited to: Microsoft 365 and spreadsheet applications, utilizing a multi-line call system, numerous customized databases, scanning, copying, file maintenance, research, collecting, and organizing data.
- Serve as Administrative Assistant and aide to the GED Admin Support & Indian Commander/Captain. Will be required, in his direction, to relieve him of many administrative duties, most of which require independent judgment.
- Provide clerical support for Commissioned and non-commissioned Personnel assigned to the Gaming Enforcement Division. The incumbent is exposed to highly sensitive information regarding gaming industry investigations and must exercise sound judgment to maintain confidentiality.
- Serve as the Time Keeper for the GED Admin & Indian and Audit section. Responsibilities include time entry, retrieving various reports, handling time sheet corrections/adjustments, obtaining signatures, and maintaining records of all within the office. May also serve as a time entry reviewer back-up for other sections.
- Coordinate and execute routine clerical functions, such as the processing of paperwork, answering the telephone, electronic updating of records, and the filing of personnel records, tabulation of data, updating various forms, the section phone list, and the employee address/emergency contact list, etc. Implements new or revised record-keeping procedures. Coordinates and works on various office functions, such as holidays and training.
