McLean School seeks a welcoming, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for students, families, faculty, staff, and visitors. This highly visible position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the School while helping to create a warm, supportive, and professional environment for all members of the community.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent customer service and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism, flexibility, and care. This position reports to the Associate Head of School and Chief Financial Officer.
Position Details
This is a full-time, 12-month position based on McLean School’s Lochinver Lane Campus in Potomac, Maryland. The normal operating hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support school events and activities.

The salary range for this position is $55,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and skills.
