Quinnipiac University seeks qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant for Men's & Women's Ice Hockey. This position will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the hockey programs, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for staff, teams, and events.
Work hours will fluctuate during the hockey season, based on the needs of the department.

| Responsibilities: |
- Provide administrative clerical support to the hockey offices, programs and camps.
- Maintain calendar for the hockey staff and programs. Coordinate internal and external meetings, travel schedules and travel arrangements for the hockey staff and teams.
- Prepare all correspondence for approval and signature by the coaches.
- Assist the head coaches in the preparation and implementation of the hockey operations budget. Monitor expenditures and process payments/reimbursements.
- Assist the hockey staff in planning and implementation of special events.
- Maintain records pertaining to recruiting, recruiting logs, official & unofficial visits, and recruiting trips.
- Coordinate ordering of supplies, special merchandise, work with off campus and on campus vendors for staff functions, complete mass mailings for recruiting and organize all meals: holiday break meals; away game meals; pre-game and post home game meals.
- Assist coaching staff with complementary admissions process as needed.
- Attend all home men’s and women’s ice hockey games to help facilitate game day needs of coaches, team, alumni and professional scouts; this will require a variable work schedule during the season.
- Coordinate and supervise student managers in the hockey office.
- Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
- 1–3 years of administrative, operations, or athletics program support experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
- Experience using athletics-specific platforms such as Teamworks and the NCAA Travel Portal preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience planning events and ability to support departmental events.
- Ability to coordinate travel logistics.
- Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.

TO APPLY:

- The starting hourly rate is $26.88, effective 7/1/2026 it will increase to $27.69.
In addition, you are eligible for an additional .75 per hour if you have a bachelor’s degree or .35 per hour if you have an associate degree.
- This is a full‑time position with a 35‑hour workweek.
- This position requires the successful completion of a Microsoft Office skills test, proofreading test, and background check
