JOB TITLE: Technology Secretary
REPORTS TO: Technology Services Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To assist the Technology Services Administrator in performing duties necessary to help manage the technology team and carry out the goals of the District Technology Plan.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs clerical duties for the Technology Services Administrator and the technology team as directed by the Technology Services Administrator.
- Serves as office manager for the technology team and facilities maintaining procedures to keep the team and facilities functioning efficiently.
- Serves as purchasing, shipping, and receiving agent for all technology products: solicits quotes, obtains purchase orders, places orders, processes received items, works with the business office for billing, and processing returns.
- Creates, processes and maintains financial and warranty documentation on all equipment.
- Works with the business office to balance the technology budget.
- Manages help desk phone, as well as Tech_Help email and drive contents.
- Assists users as needed in Google Apps and PowerSchool and trains secretaries in Google Apps, website, PowerSchool, and other job-appropriate technology procedures and software.
- Assists PowerSchool Administrator with creating accounts, storing grades, analyzing attendance/enrollment data, resetting password, running reports, creating SOS, etc.
- Assists Server Administrator and the Network Technician in documenting software licensing and processing renewals.
- Serves as inventory clerk on all technology equipment, tagging and recording all equipment in inventory and conducting annual inventory verifications on all technology items throughout the district. Also coordinates and documents technology equipment donations.
- Tracks staff accounts, information and training in applications like PowerSchool, phone directory, emergency contact list, Staff Network Change form, etc. and ensures staff network accounts match PAR submissions.
- Assists in creating technology training and monitors completion of technology training modules by new staff.
- Updates and manages the Technology Department website content.
- Assists with student device implementations including submitting work orders and working with schools on distribution.
- Oversees compliance of records retention requirements for the Technology Department.
- Obtains, gathers, and organizes technology information presenting it in usable form.
- Works cooperatively with others and effectively communicates information to staff in a positive manner.
- Performs other such tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be available to start training right away.
