High school diploma or GED; associate degree in business, office administration or a related field preferred; five years of experience in increasingly responsible administrative support work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Familiarity with social media platforms used for recruiting and employer branding (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and ability to create basic engagement content, preferred. Experience collaborating with communications or media teams, or comfort working with branding/messaging guidelines, preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to communicate effectively; ability and experience composing and disseminating effective correspondence. The incumbent must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as with other team members. Critical skills needed include accuracy, organization, and the ability to change priorities as needs arise. Experience in a support staff role for law enforcement preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug testing and alcohol testing. The use of illegal drugs, and/or the use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited. Employees must not consume or be under the influence of alcohol while on duty, on work premises, or operating agency equipment. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check. Must be a US citizen or be a lawful permanent resident eligible for naturalization.
Assist with multiple phases of the department’s talent acquisition process. Support sourcing efforts by identifying potential candidate pools, conducting initial outreach, and maintaining ongoing relationships. Coordinate recruiting activities including scheduling, arranging necessary travel, and preparing recruitment materials. Work closely with the Media & Messaging team to manage routine updates to social media and online recruiting platforms to promote job opportunities and enhance employer branding. Serve as a liaison with universities, professors, and student organizations to support internship and pipeline development efforts. Provide administrative support to recruiters and perform other work as required. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
