Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation with an Associate's degree, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,
(B) Successful completion of at least thirty (30) college semester credit hours, plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (A) above; OR,
(C) Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (A) above; OR,
(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
*Experience as a Teller, Cashier, or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a vehicle in NYS, or otherwise demonstrate your ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Desired Qualifications:
Working level knowledge typing and keyboarding; personal computer usage and techniques relevant software applications;
Financial and Administrative policies procedure and practices in a public school district; and the grammar, punctuation and spelling of the English language;
Five years performing clerical/secretarial duties including at least two years in a public school district;
Attention to detail; ability to deal with people at all organizational levels; and good administrative, typing, interpersonal, organizational, planning and oral and written communication skills;
Office environment. Extra hours are required;
Excellent organization skills � ability to prioritize and complete tasks within established timelines;
Excellent knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, and methods;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Excellent knowledge of English composition, grammar, and spelling � ability to prepare written correspondence;
Excellent knowledge of the format, terminology, and vocabulary used in school correspondence;
Ability to keyboard rapidly and accurately;
Ability to independently perform complex secretarial and routine administrative
assignments; Ability to understand, interpret, and carry out complex oral and written directions;
Ability to make decisions in an expedient manner; Ability to deal effectively with internal and external communities � excellent interpersonal and human relations skills;
Ability to keep accurate records and maintain attention to detail;
Excellent judgment in handling confidential material and ability to maintain confidences;
Excellent knowledge of and ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office Suite of software (e.g., Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace and Shared Drives);
Working knowledge of Infinite Campus and AppXtender;
Ability to navigate the Internet;
Willingness to participate in required and voluntary professional development;
Two years in the Greece Central School District;
Familiarity with Wincap Financial System.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Coordinator of Board of Education financial information, presentations, and reports for Board Meetings;
Coordinates the requests for information received under the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and, any coordinates District responses to subpoenas received by the District;
Coordinates records retention and disposition as appointed by the Board of Education;
Prepares a variety of letters, forms, memos and reports from composition, general notes or verbal instruction, using a computer terminal and a variety of software packages. (This includes matters of a confidential or sensitive nature.);
Provides guidance, direction and assistance to other clerical personnel reporting within the Department of Finance and Administrative Services;
Responds to incoming telephone calls and in-person inquiries regarding matters such as property tax information, transportation questions, record requests and refers them appropriately;
Schedules arrangements for appointments, conferences, meetings, interviews and travel involving the School Business Official and others as required;
Maintains and updates related files as required;
Perform such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required;
Provides secretarial support to Executive Director, Director of Finance and the Office of Finance;
Provides extra support needed to the Office of Finance during budget development time, or as required;
Monitors office budget, orders office supplies;
Takes minutes at Finance and Administrative Services Staff meetings, as needed;
Records attendance for direct reports of School Business Official and Office of Finance;
Calendar manager (room reservation and scheduling) for the department, as needed;
Other duties as assigned.
