Job Summary:
The Marketing Assistant supports the bank’s marketing and communications initiatives by assisting with campaign execution, content development, and brand management across digital and traditional channels. This role works closely with the marketing team, compliance, and branch managers to ensure all communications align with regulatory requirements and accurately represent the bank’s products and services. Expected to deliver customer service as outlined in our “customer pledge” and “customer service standards” and adhere to our “code of conduct”.
Marketing
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the Marketing Department’s activities.
• Support the marketing team by implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns.
• Support the creation and distribution of compliant marketing materials, including emails, brochures, website content, social media posts, and branch signage.
• Balance and reconcile the Marketing Department credit card.
• Coordinate with the Compliance Team to ensure all marketing content meets banking regulations and internal policies.
• Update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and inventories containing statistical, financial, and non financial information.
• Assist in organizing promotional events and traditional or digital marketing campaigns; attend events as needed to facilitate their success.
• Assist with the management of First Option Bank social media accounts.
• Assist with event planning and promotion.
• Assist with ordering First Option Bank promotional items.
• Manage and maintain inventory of First Option Bank promotional items.
• Assist with the Company’s Community Commitment Program, including planning activities, ordering and delivering items, updating calendars, and sending email correspondence to branches, event chairpeople, and/or committees.
• Track campaign performance and prepare reports using analytics and CRM tools.
• Manage Marketing Hub requests.
• Assist with activities that support brand management.
• Handle administrative tasks, including vendor coordination, invoice processing, and campaign filing.
• Manage marketing databases, customer lists, and related documentation with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Manage, track, and report on First Option Bank Google Reviews.
Customer Service / Banking
• Answer general customer questions regarding bank deposit accounts, balance inquiries, and related services in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Research and resolve customer and officer inquiries promptly and efficiently.
Other Duties
• Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor as they relate to First Option Bank and its functions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), or paid digital advertising.

• Strong attention to compliance, accuracy, documentation, and recordkeeping.
• Excellent time management and project coordination skills.
• Customer focused mindset with an understanding of financial products and services.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Previous experience in a marketing related role.
• Digital content creation experience, including email, web, or social media content.
• Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate verbally and effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger and handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. This position requires the ability to carry things up and down stairs. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time.
WORK HOURS: 8 am to 5 pm
