TITLE: CHILDCARE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: Childcare Director
JOB DESCRIPTION: The person selected for this position would be responsible for assisting with the physical, emotional, and intellectual development and safety of all children attending the employee daycare, as well as leading and managing the staff of the employee childcare, Young Minds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master Teacher Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certified, or willing to obtain certification.
- Experience overseeing childcare and budgeting preferred.
- Experience working with children.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with monitoring assigned students in the locations and at the times designated.
- Work with the Director to plan a program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students assigned.
- Help create an environment that is conducive to the interest and development of the students.
- Aid in preparing for the students enrolled in the program and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
- Encourage students to set and maintain standards of expected behavior.
- Assist with employing a variety of activities that are consistent with the physical limitations of the location and the needs of the students involved.
- Address the learning diversities of all students on a regular basis and seek district assistant as required or needed.
- Adhere to district policy.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Responsible for assisting in organizing and administering the program to conform with state law and policies and procedures of the school building and the Superintendent.
- Abide by all district, state, and federal laws, policies, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality with all school and student information. Maintain all compliance documents.
- Assist Teachers with creating curriculum and ordering curriculum supplies.
- Help assign duties to Young Minds Childcare teachers as needed.
- Must hold valid certification for CPR training or be willing to complete certification before start date.
- Open the program, get it ready for the day, and ensure classrooms are ready. Hours for this position are 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to routinely and continually bend, squat, stand, walk, or climb stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 205 days; 8 hour day
- 1.29 Pay Ratio
STATUS: Exempt support; Admin Contract
