DescriptionMaintains patient records on unit. Schedules tests and procedures, notes orders, and maintains supply level for unit.
Responsibilities- Maintains adequate supply levels, patient records, and an orderly nursing station.
- Communicates all information related to patient/physician needs in a concise, accurate and timely manner; Always uses proper identification on patient records
- Transcribes orders in an accurate and timely manner and places necessary information in appropriate location. Schedules tests/procedures in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
- Effective and efficient use of equipment, supplies and people. Identifies inefficiencies and inaccuracies, responding appropriately
- Acts as a data collector for department/facility PI activities. Data collection is complete and accurate. Works to ensure the department meets regulatory standards.
- Performs related duties as required.
QualificationsRequired:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: AHA CPR required.
Preferred:
- Education: Some college or vocational training preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of job-related experience preferred.
