DEPARTMENT ADMIN ASSISTANT (12 Month) - LHS
Overview: The Department Administrative Assistant ensures the smooth and efficient operation of assigned department offices. Set daily office priorities based on knowledge of the overall function of the offices.

Calendar: Twelve-Month Employee, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications: Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate and carry to completion clerical, secretarial and administrative activities for multiple departments
- Demonstrates knowledge of the educational environment, policies, and procedures
- Assist teachers, substitutes, educational support staff and students
- Coordinate placement testing for incoming freshmen students
- Maintain school/business budgets and the processing of requisitions
- Manage supply orders for all departments throughout the year
- Prepare, maintain and process reimbursements for grants in accordance with State and Federal requirements
- Assist with field trip planning and execution
- Support all tasks as assigned by supervisor
