The Men's Basketball Executive Assistant to the Head Coach & Coordinator of External Relations serves as the primary point of contact and strategic support for the Head Men's Basketball Coach. The role operates at the intersection of executive-level support, basketball operations, and external relations, ensuring seamless coordination of the Head Coach's daily activities while advancing program visibility, engagement, and strategic initiatives.
In today's evolving collegiate athletics environment characterized by Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), increased emphasis on brand development, donor engagement, and fan experience, this position plays a key role in aligning internal operations with external strategy. The incumbent is exposed daily to highly confidential information and must demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and organizational effectiveness.
35% Manage and coordinate the Head Coach's daily calendar, scheduling, and communications; Serve as the primary point of contact for the Head Coach, ensuring alignment across meetings, priorities, and program initiatives; Represent the Head Coach in meetings and interactions with administration, donors, academics, marketing, and other stakeholders as appropriate; Assist with basketball operations, including logistics, travel coordination, and overall program organization.
25% Support and execute external relations efforts for the Men's Basketball program and Head Coach, including donor engagement, alumni relations, and community outreach; Contribute to marketing strategy, fan engagement initiatives, and NIL-related efforts to enhance program visibility and student-athlete opportunities; Oversee creative direction and social media strategy for the Head Coach's personal brand in alignment with program goals; Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen the program's public presence and storytelling.
15% Lead and execute special projects as directed by the Head Coach and senior leadership; Support strategic planning initiatives that advance program goals, including competitive success and long-term growth; Assist in coordination of high-level program initiatives involving internal staff and external stakeholders.
10% Support initiatives that enhance the overall student-athlete experience, including leadership development and personal growth opportunities; Coordinate with internal departments to promote student-athlete engagement in program initiatives and external opportunities.
10% Coordinate professional development programming, guest speakers, and external consultants for the program; Assist in organizing events and initiatives that support student-athlete career readiness and life skills development.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of a respectful culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with three years in a collegiate or professional basketball program or related environment.

Special or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work extended days, nights and weekends as needed. Travel is required.
