Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant works under the immediate supervision of the Superintendent. The general responsibilities include:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Superintendent's Office, including managing the Superintendent's calendar, screening phone calls, and welcoming visitors. Coordinates scheduling, correspondence, and related administrative functions for both Superintendent and the Board.
- Serves as a liaison to the School Board by preparing, viewing, and distributing agendas for month meetings. Ensure the Superintendent and Board are fully prepared for all proceedings with accurate schedules, complete documentation, and up-to-date background information.
- Manages sensitive and confidential information while responding to inquiries from staff, parents, and community members in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 3- 5 years senior level administrative support experience; prior public-school experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required with ability to prioritize projects and tasks and maintain accurate records to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to collaborate with peers, upper management, and other educational entities in an effective, professional, and positive manner.
- Ability to discretely handle and maintain confidential records and highly sensitive information.
- Advanced computer application skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
- Associates degree, or a combination of comparable training and/or related experience
