Description of the Role:
As the Front Office Manager at Embassy Suites - Jacksonville, you will be the direct supervisor of all front desk staff. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the proper completion of front desk duties. Additionally, you will be in charge of completing front desk duties such as reservations, directing and coordinating front desk activities, handling guest services, and monitoring telephone communications. You will also play a crucial role in preparing budgets and reports for the front desk department with a strong focus on enhancing the overall stay experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Anticipates and intervenes in all instances of guest dissatisfaction with hotel policy

Maximizes room revenue and occupancy by consistently reviewing status

Ensures financial performance of the front desk department

Perform all check-in and check-out tasks

Manage online and phone reservations
-
Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
-
Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)

Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
-
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities

Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner

Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs

Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests

Up sell additional facilities and services, when appropriate

Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Qualifications
-
4 + years in related experience or field.
- Must have basic mathematical skills, Microsoft office and basic computer skills
- Ability to apply common sense, empathy and understanding to carry out instructions and provide delegation to staff

Customer service experience with passion to do so "Make it Right"

Previous hotel experience preferred Hilton and Marriott.
