The LandCare Education Assistance Foundation (LEAF) is LandCare’s philanthropic commitment to expanding access to higher education for the children of LandCare team members. Through scholarships, resources, and ongoing support, LEAF empowers students to pursue their educational goals and build brighter futures.
Position Summary
The Education Program Intern provides daily operational, administrative, and communication support for the LEAF program. This role ensures accurate tracking, strong relationships with team members and their families, timely updates to program records, and logistical support for scholarship recipients. They will work closely with LEAF Ambassadors, students, families and LandCare leaders to maintain smooth program operations.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for LEAF Ambassadors
- Communicate with LandCare team members and their families regarding scholarship information, deadlines and resources.
- Call team members as needed to support applications, questions, or program participation
Monthly Responsibilities
- Support the Leafy Library including organization and distribution of books
- Order books, packages and other program materials
- Print and organize mailing labels for LEAF deliveries
- Support monthly scholarship recipient communications and check-ins
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of the LEAF Census and documentation
Other Responsibilities
- Order and coordinate assembly of care package items for scholarship recipients.
- Create and update FAQs, guides and resource materials to support students through the scholarship application and renewal process.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated interest in nonprofit, education, or community-impact programs
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- A self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and communicate proactively
BenefitsThis opportunity has a pay range that represents an hourly rate of $20-$25 per hour (commensurate with experience).
