The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 employees. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.

POSITION SUMMARY\:
Performs a variety of clerical support and other duties to assist the nursing staff in carrying out daily patient care activities. Prepares and maintains patient medical records. Transcribes and expedites physician orders. Functions as a receptionist. Creates a caring and compassionate environment through Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, and Communication. Contributes to a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu. Reports to the Clinical Coordinator.
COMPETENCIES\:
Basic computer skills are desirable.
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
Must be capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION\:
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with some knowledge of medical terminology.
Must be trained in de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN.
