DescriptionThe Front Office Manager will oversee the daily management of our hotel reception area. The individual must have strong communication skills, a friendly attitude and a high level of personal organization to ensure the smooth performance of front desk duties.
ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the selection of front office personnel.
Trains, cross-trains, and retrains all front office personnel.
Schedules the front office staff
Supervises workloads during shifts.
Evaluates the job performance of the front desk team members.
Maintains working relationships and communicates with all Team members.
Maintains master key control.
Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained. And properly
communicated.
Resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
Updates group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements.
Relays information to appropriate personnel.
Works within the allotted budget for the front office.
Receives information from management and passes on pertinent details to the team members as needed.
Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposits at the end of each shift.
Enforces all cash handling policies.
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office team members.
Upholds the hotel's commitment to hospitality.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required
2+ years' experience working in hotel management
Experience with office machines (such as computers, fax machines and printers)
Good practical knowledge of MS Office٫ particularly Excel and Word٫ and proficiency in English (oral and written)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational٫ multitasking and problem-solving skills
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
