Building Secretary � 7.5 hours a day

Dixon Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of Building Secretary at Dempsey Therapeutic Day School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties Include:

1. Assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the school office.
2. Maintain accurate student attendance reports.
3. Receive telephone calls and deliver messages.
4. Receive all visitors.
5. Provide clerical assistance for teachers, volunteers, and other organizations under the Principal's direction.
6. Assist with first aid in the absence of the Health Services Assistant.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma
2. Ability to work with people
3. Proficiency in typing
4. Ability to use computers and common software applications
5. Knowledge in operation of office equipment and machines
6. Ability to start November 30th, 2026

SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFITS 

1. Hourly pay rate: $18.00 - $20.40 based on experience
2. Fifteen (15) days per year sick leave
3. Two (2) days personal leave per year
4. Vacation time available after 1 full year of service
5. Full-time Position � 237 days per school year
6. IMRF Eligible
7. Health, vision, and dental insurance available
