About the job:

Nouryon is hiring an experienced Executive Assistant to provide dedicated, high-touch support to senior leaders based in our Houston office. This is a dynamic executive-support role built for a professional who thrives on anticipating needs, moving fast, and keeping demanding schedules running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings solid experience supporting senior leaders, sound judgment with confidential information, and a genuine service-first mindset: someone who finds a way to make things work.

In your future role as an Executive Administrative Assistant, you will:

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Manage calendars, agendas, and meeting logistics for senior leaders, proactively resolving conflicts and reprioritizing as business needs change.
• Plan and coordinate business travel — flights, hotels, ground transportation, and detailed itineraries — anticipating logistics needs before they're asked.
• Manage expense reporting, invoicing, and purchase orders (e.g., SAP Concur / SAP SRM), and other administrative processes.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, exercising sound judgment on what is time-sensitive and handling communications with discretion.
• Prepare, format, and proofread presentations, reports, and correspondence for leadership audiences and company-wide communications.
• Manage distribution lists and help plan and arrange departmental and office-wide in-person and virtual meetings.
• Anticipate the needs of each leader individually — adapting communication style, pace, and level of detail to how each prefers to work — versus a one-size-fits-all approach.
• Coordinate special projects as needed.
• Be a forward-thinking user of AI to help drive efficiency in your own and your leaders' workflows.

We believe you bring:

• 5–10+ years of experience supporting senior leaders or executives, ideally within a matrixed or global organization.
• A proactive approach, anticipating needs, flagging issues early, and taking action without waiting to be asked.
• The ability to operate comfortably in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Consistent, reliable availability and presence during core business hours.
• Sound judgment and discretion, particularly when handling confidential matters.
• A true service mentality, focusing on solutions and outcomes rather than obstacles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Comfort with, or willingness to learn, AI tools and workflows such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred; an Associate's degree or equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Experience with SAP Concur and/or SAP SRM is a plus.
• PACE and/or CAP certification is preferred.
• Experience in the chemical industry or an adjacent field, such as oil and gas, is a plus.

Good to know:
 

• This is a full-time, on-site position at our Houston, TX office.
• In-office presence is expected 5 days a week.
