The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the secretary to the Chief Scientist (DISL) and Senior Support Staff, independently managing the executive-level office operations.
**Salary ranges include local market supplements.**
This is a GG-08 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-08 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-08 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of standardized rules, procedures, or operations requiring considerable training and experience to perform the full range of standard clerical and non-clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems; and the skill, acquired through considerable training and experience, to operate and adjust varied equipment for purposes such as performing numerous standardized tests or operations. Comprehensive knowledge of the CC, IMA to the CC, DISL, CD and Senior Support Staff 's policies and views all significant matters affecting the Center. Ability to perform duties such as assembling information to be used for reports or responses to inquiries. Knowledge of the substantive programs of the Center as related to the Center's clerical and administrative functions. Basic knowledge or protocol requirements and responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of the AFTAC Nuclear Treaty Monitoring mission, and regulations governing classified systems (including SIPRNET & JWICS), in a complex security environment. Must understand and apply guidelines from numerous security classification guides. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
