The Administrative Assistant I, provides essential support by managing front desk operations, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the department. This includes managing schedules, handling communication, organizing documents, and assisting with day-to-day office operations. The role involves data entry, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating meetings, all while ensuring smooth workflow and efficient office management. The Administrative Assistant I plays a key role in supporting the team’s needs, ensuring a productive and organized work environment.
Work involves a variety of tasks that require attention to detail, basic analytical skills, and the ability to follow established practices and procedures. Supervision is provided to guide the employee, with a focus on training and development. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to support staff and achieve goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirement, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.
Required Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) months of office experience.
Preferred Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year or more of office experience.
