WE ARE GROWING! The Safety Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day safety, environmental and health functions of the organization. This position will work closely with the Director of EH&S, and the Safety Specialist as well as cross-functional teams across the organization!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the worker’s compensation program.
· Work with HR on medical providers to ensure proper care and facilitate employees’ return to work for Workers Comp/FMLA.
· Receive, inform and record accident and injury, reports/records for all buildings.
· Work with managers to accommodate employees on restricted Work Comp duty.
· Maintain OSHA 300 log for annual posting and other reporting.
· Coordinate and create all aspects of safety and OSHA training programs.
· Participate as a member of the risk assessment team and safety committee team.
· Conduct safety audits in accordance with OSHA regulations in all buildings.
· Completion of record keeping monitoring effectiveness of training program.
· Recognize hazards to identify conditions or actions that may cause injury, illness or property damage.
· Involvement with fire/tornado drill, fit testing, hearing testing, and forklift record keeping.
· Maintains a working knowledge of current and impending EH&S regulatory requirements for federal, state and local agencies, such as OSHA, EPA, WIDNR, PADCNR, Etc.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
· Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
· 3 + years of Administrative experience, required.
· Safety experience a plus!

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Problem solving skills.
· Proven leadership skills.
· Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office, required
· Local travel required.
