BFCSD is looking for a detail oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our team at the High School as the Activities Coordinator/Administrative Assistant.
This is a full-time, 12-month position. The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
Salary Range: $15-17/hour
Scope: Coordinates and supports extracurricular programs, athletics, and student activities across the district. This position manages logistics such as scheduling, transportation, communication, and event organization to promote positive student engagement and represent the district in a professional manner.
Reports to: Activities Director
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace, and standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with district policy.
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, customer-service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff, students, families, and community members.
- Preferred
- Associate’s degree or equivalent coursework in business, office management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a K–12 school district or educational environment.
- Knowledge of district procedures, board policy, or state education regulations.
- Experience using student information systems (e.g., Infinite Campus).
Performance Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with coaches, sponsors, parents, and administrators to ensure smooth event operations.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation, eligibility, and activity fees in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Assist with event logistics such as ticket sales, rosters, officials, and scoreboard operations.
- Coordinate registration, travel, and lodging arrangements for student groups and staff participating in competitions or events.
- Prepare purchase orders, process payments, and reconcile activity accounts in accordance with district business procedures.
- Support the Activities Director with administrative tasks, record-keeping, and reporting as needed.
- Assist in planning and promoting assemblies, recognition events, and award programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
- Represent the district in a positive and professional manner at all school-sponsored events.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of district activities and athletics.
Term of Employment: Employment is subject to the provisions of Board policy, state and federal law, and the terms outlined in the applicable employee handbook.
Salary and Benefits: Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and outlined in the Administrative Assistant Department Booklet of the Employee Handbook.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
