Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Home Care) – Fairbanks, Alaska
Preferred Care at Home of Alaska is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and experienced Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our expanding team in Fairbanks!
This role is ideal for someone who has home care or healthcare experience, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in creating excellent experience for both clients and caregivers.
Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting new client care. You will serve as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for families and help lay the foundation for high-quality service.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Support & Assessments
- Conduct in-home assessments for new clients
- Gather detailed information to help create personalized Plans of Care
- Discuss client and family preferences for caregiver personality, skills, and approach
- Outline requested schedules and care expectations
Caregiver Coordination
- Assist in interviewing prospective caregivers
- Collaborate with our scheduling team to ensure successful client–caregiver matches
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in home care, healthcare, case management, senior services, or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to travel locally within the Fairbanks area for client visits
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with remote admin work
