Job Description Summary
CASJE (Collaborative for Applied Studies in Jewish Education) is an evolving community of researchers, practitioners, and philanthropic leaders dedicated to improving the quality of knowledge that can be used to guide the work of Jewish Education. CASJE is housed at George Washington University in the Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Our core operations are supported by generous grants from the Jim Joseph Foundation and Crown Family Philanthropies. CASJE is seeking an Administrative assistant. Responsibilities include: Financial Support (training provided) Invoices Prepare and submit invoices for processing through the Concur platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Expense Reporting Assist in compiling and organizing expense reports, ensuring all receipts and documentation are included for review. Research Fellowship Proofreading Proofread written materials for formatting and clarity to ensure high-quality and polished content Preparing materials for the fellowship committee Pull together relevant materials and enter necessary information into spreadsheets to support the fellowship committee in their decision-making process. Compile seminar materials Retrieve and organize materials for the upcoming semester from the library Scheduling Interviews Obtain availability from interviewing committee and mentors, and schedule and organize fellow interviews Website (training provided) Website Transition Support with creating redirect links from old content to new content Enter author, date, and tags into publications Proofread pages for clarity and functionality New content Add new content to the website as assigned Research Digest Proofreading Proofread research summaries to ensure high-quality and polished content Advisory Board Meeting Support Proofreading Proofread memos for formatting and clarity to ensure high-quality and polished content Meeting Minutes Attend Advisory Board meetings and take meeting minutes Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Google Calendar Knowledge of the Jewish Community (preferred but not required)
